ASEE 2025: Siemens will be driving conversations on bringing industry to academia

At the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) 2025 annual conference, Siemens Global Academic and Future Workforce Team is excited to drive engaging discussions about academic and industry partnerships that are accelerating workforce readiness and addressing the skills gap. 

Academic-industry alignment and lifelong learning 

Among other esteemed speakers, the keynote panel for the conference will include Guy Dulude, vice president of portfolio development and sales acceleration for Canada with Siemens. Guy will be sharing how Siemens is working with academic institutions and industrial organizations worldwide to drive stronger alignment and prepare students for the rigors of today’s engineering environments. 

Additionally, as part of ASEE’s Corporate Member Council Industry Day, Siemens will be leading a panel titled “Lifelong Learning Lighthouse” on Tuesday, June 24th at 11:00am-12:30pm. Moderated by Dora Smith, senior director of the Global Academic and Future Workforce Program with panelists from Georgia Tech, Arizona State University and Bombardier, this session will explore the challenges of and opportunities for upskilling and reskilling  the workforce.  

From stackable microcredentials and quality assurance to personalized learning experiences, the panel will offer attendees models and actionable insights for impactful and industry-aligned programs.

At the Siemens booth, attendees will have the opportunity to experience Siemens Designcenter, a new, multidisciplinary CAD/CAM/CAE software suite combining the physical world with an AI-enhanced digital twin.  

Try your hand at viewing and designing components with the Sony XR head-mounted display to get a sense of the exciting new tools your students will be utilizing in industry. 

Siemens will also be participating in the career fair, offering students and early-career engineers a chance to network with Siemens professionals, explore opportunities with the company and gain information on our professional development resources.
